Liver begins to deteriorate
Dr. Priyanka Rohatgi told that ultra processed food can gradually cause liver damage. Actually, many such harmful chemicals are found in packaged items about which the company does not disclose properly. Artificial color and food regulator are added to these. Along with this, words like -2, E-21 or E-26 are written in it as colour. These are harmful chemicals. Similarly, INS 330 is written as acid regulator. It is also written as citric acid but it is very different from natural citric acid. Dr. Priyanka told that these added compounds harm the liver the most. This can cause non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. After reaching the stomach, it kills the good bacteria due to which the lining of the intestine starts getting damaged. This lining gives signals to the brain. Apart from liver, these things also affect kidneys. That means packaged processed food starts damaging the liver as well as the kidneys.
Hidden salt is most dangerous
Packaged chips and crisps contain a lot of salt. This becomes known only while eating. Actually, when cakes, pastries, chocolates, dried fruits, berries etc. are made, added sodium is added to keep them fresh for a long time. If you are eating chocolate and it seems sweet, it does not mean that the chocolate is only sweet but it contains a lot of salt. This also happens in packaged dry fruits, fast food, synthetic food. Due to excess salt, deposition of sodium starts in the arteries which increases bad cholesterol. It harms the heart the most. This can affect the heart muscles. In such a situation, it is wise not to consume these things in excess at all.
