Its risk is especially high during the summer season. Diarrhea is a digestive problem in which a person feels the need for frequent bowel movements. The stool comes out very thin and watery. Due to continuous diarrhea, many other problems can start due to lack of water and dehydration in the body. If this problem persists for several days, there is a fear of losing one’s life.
Dr. RL Khare, Professor of Medicine Department of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Hospital, Mekahara, located in the capital Raipur, has told the ways to prevent diarrhea. You can avoid this disease by paying attention to Dr. Khare’s words. Talking to Local18, Dr. Khare said that the problem of diarrhea during summer affects everyone from small children to the elderly. In this, bowel movements are thin, due to which a lot of water gets removed from the body. Due to this, there is a risk of dehydration, hence prompt treatment of diarrhea is necessary. Along with this, there is also a need to take small precautions.
Ways to prevent diarrhea
- Dr. RL Khare told that diarrhea is mainly caused by contaminated water and contaminated food.
- First of all, we should be careful in using these two during summer.
- As far as possible, do not eat polluted food from outside, you should also avoid eating street food.
- To drink clean water, if possible, filter or RO should be used.
- If there is no RO and filter, then the water should be boiled for 20 minutes. Then you can cool that water and store it in a pot or drink it as is.
- If there is no source of clean water near your house, then drinking boiled water is the best way to avoid diarrhea.
