Kota cool-cool even in the month of April, see how it is raining tip-tip water
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a rise in temperature across Odisha till April 16. According to the department, till April 12, the temperature in many places of the state can go up to 40 degree Celsius. Apart from Odisha, the maximum temperature can cross 40 degrees in many parts of UP, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
On April 12, isolated rain is likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha, Gujarat, Konkan Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Kerala and Mahe. Conditions are becoming very favorable for rains over Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada during the next five days. Many cities of Gujarat are burning with heat. These include Ahmedabad, Surendranagar, Gandhinagar, Amreli and Vadodara.
Meteorologists have told that after April 17, the mercury can reach up to 40 degrees in many areas of the national capital Delhi. However, there does not seem to be any possibility of heat wave at the moment. A heat wave is declared when the maximum temperature is 40 degrees in plains, 37 degrees in coastal areas and 30 degrees in hilly areas and is at least 4.5 degrees above normal. The IMD has forecast above-normal temperatures from April to June. The number of unusually heatwave days may increase.
The IMD has also made an important forecast regarding the monsoon. He has said that the country is expected to receive normal rainfall during the southwest monsoon. However, the department said that El Nino conditions are likely to prevail during the monsoon. But, positive Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) and reduced snow cover over the Northern Hemisphere can help counter these conditions. This forecast is news of relief for the agriculture sector. The agricultural sector mainly depends on the monsoon rains for the production of crops.
