Javra. The court sentenced an accused of theft in Kankarwa Balaji temple to two years’ rigorous imprisonment under section 457 of IPC. On the other hand, he was punished with a fine of two thousand rupees under various sections. Judicial Magistrate First Class Namita Bourasi pronounced this decision on Thursday. According to the prosecution letter, Mahant Ramdas Bairagi of the temple filed a report on February 1, 2015 at Ringnod police station that Murlidas Bairagi worships the temple. In the night they were sleeping in Dharamshala located near Murlidas, Mansingh Gurjar and Mohanlal temple. He woke up at around 3:30 in the night, then he saw that the door of Dharamshala was open, he got suspicious and went inside and saw that the cupboard kept in the room was open and the goods were scattered. There was a silver umbrella of 250 grams on the idol of Mataji, it was not found. Then outside looking towards Balaji temple, the lock of the door of Balaji temple was broken and the doors were open. The donation boxes kept outside and inside the temple were not there. Some unknown miscreant broke the lock of the temple and stole the donation boxes, silver umbrella. When searched around, a donation box was found on Mansingh’s farm. On the report of the complainant, the police registered a case against the unknown miscreant. Police investigated the matter. During the investigation, on the basis of information, 27-year-old Prakashnath residents of Charaliya police station Nimbahera and Bablunath were arrested and told to commit the crime on interrogation. The stolen goods were confiscated by the police on the behest of the accused. Thereafter the prosecution letter was presented in the court. During the trial, the accused Bablunath absconded. On the basis of the evidence that came in the court, the accused Prakashnath was found guilty and punished with the said punishment. ADPO Shiv Manavare advocated on behalf of the government.
