Mainpur. In the year 2022, a Tendupatta branching workshop cum training program was organized by the Forest Department at Patta Godown Naumuda, three km away from Tehsil Headquarter Mainpur. District Panchayat Vice President Sanjay Netam was the chief guest in the program. District Panchayat member Lokeshwari Netam presided. On the other hand, Block Congress President Mainpur Bhola Jagat, Forest Zone Officer Mainpur Sanjit Markam, City President Mainpur Ramkrishna Dhruv, Committee President Premsai Jagat, Hareshwar Patel, Najeeb Baig, Gaindu Yadav were prominently present.
In the workshop, the primary co-operative society, Phad custodian, Phad scribe and collectors under the forest range Mainpur, Kuhladighat, Taurenga, Dhawalpur were explained the correct process of shearing tendu leaves at a fixed time in a group together in the month of March this year and How to get good quality leaves with right branch shearing on time. Atul Shrivastava, Deputy Managing Director, District Union, Gariaband told this in detail. Phadmunshi collectors informed about the remuneration, remuneration and practical difficulties to be received during the collection. District Panchayat Vice President Sanjay Netam said that branching and buta harvesting are very important, due to which good quality tendu leaves are obtained. As a result of branching, the collectors get more amount in the form of wages.
He said that at present the rate of Rs 4000 per standard bag has been fixed by the government. Along with this, the collector also provides financial security to the families under the Mahendra Karma Suraksha Yojana. The children of the collector’s family are provided education support through education incentive scholarship. The government has doubled the cost of tendu patta collection. District Panchayat Chairman Lokeshwari Netam said that good quality tendu leaves are collected from branching, in which tendu leaves go to the committee at a good rate. Block Congress President Bhola Jagat told that the collector families get the benefit from tendu patta collection work, in a way, a collector is himself like a proprietor through a cooperative society in tendu patta collection work. The program was also addressed by the city president Ramkrishna Dhruv, Premsai Jagat, Mainpur Ranger Sanjit Markam, Kuhladighat Amarsingh Thakur, Taurenga Milan Verma, Dhawalpur Shiv Kumar Markam.
