Balaghat, Naiduniya Rep. An atmosphere of tension has been created in Balaghat city after the death of former district panchayat member Dali Damahe, who was injured in a deadly attack two days ago, on Thursday. The incident has raised resentment in the Lodhi community. After receiving the news of the death, the people of Lodhi community have united. At the same time, sensing the atmosphere in the midst of silence, the police force was increased. As soon as the body was brought from Gondia to Balaghat in the evening. The crowd increased, the police personnel posted in Kosmi also lathi-charged using mild force to disperse the crowd, during which the mob started pelting stones and vandalizing. More than 6 police personnel have been injured in stone pelting. While two constables have been seriously injured. Those who have been admitted to the district hospital for treatment.
Here are the seriously injured: Ajay Akela, the head constable posted in Kotwali and Topesh Kavre, the head constable posted in Kirnapur were injured in stone pelting by the mob. Those who have been admitted to the district hospital in critical condition. Some other police personnel including CSP Apoorva Bhalavi were injured in this stone pelting.

There is an old dispute between VHP’s provincial minister Lalit Pardhi and former district panchayat member Dali Damahe. During the exit of Shiva procession on Mahashivratri in the Kali Pat temple premises under the Kotwali police station, there was an altercation between the two. When VHP district president Sanjeev Bhau Agrawal came to know about this, he along with his companions reached Gonglai village of Dali Damahe and attacked him with a sharp weapon. Yogesh Mohare, a youth who went to save Dali, was also attacked and injured by the accused.
