Jaipur. So far 23 miscreants have been arrested by the police in connection with the incident that took place in the sequence of bike rally being taken out on April 2 on the occasion of Nav Samvatsar in Karauli. In connection with the nuisance, a total of 10 FIRs including 9 have been registered by the Kotwali Police Officer of Karauli and 9 by other persons. From the research done so far, 44 miscreants have been identified by the police.
Director General of Police ML Lather said that on the application of Neeraj Kumar, the convener of the bike rally on the occasion of Navsamvatsar, the sub-divisional magistrate Karauli had given conditional permission to take out the rally on April 2. In these conditions, no use of DJ and loudspeakers and no provocative slogans, as well as any kind of weapon was not allowed. After this permission, necessary police arrangements were made by District Superintendent of Police Karauli to maintain peace and law and order. For the peaceful conduct of the proposed rally, a meeting of the peace committee was also organized by the officials of the local police and administration.
Lather said that on April 2, at 4 pm, about 400 persons on 200-215 motorcycles left the Collectorate Circle as a rally. In front of the rally, SHO Karauli, Police Inspector Rameshwar Dayal May Japta and Maya were posted along with the videography team. SHO Sadar, Sub-Inspector Amit Sharma May Japta were walking behind the rally. Along with the rally, Manraj Meena May Japta, the officer-in-charge made for the security and security arrangements, was walking.
In front of the bike rally, songs of Hindu organizations were playing in the DJ set in the pickup. The rally descended from the slopes via Hathighata, Gulabbagh Circle, Hindongate, Tori of Copper, Hataria, Futakot and reached near the bamboo stick shops and Maniyar Masjid on Hatwara Road.
In the minority-dominated area, the people involved in the rally raised provoking slogans. During this, heavy stone pelting started on the people involved in the bike rally and the police Japta from nearby houses and shops. Simultaneously, about 100-150 people attacked with sticks and sticks from nearby houses. Eight police personnel along with 11 local persons were injured in this attack.
The DGP said that 105 anti-social elements have been arrested by the police station in connection with the incident. The remaining miscreants involved in the total 10 cases registered will be arrested soon.
Due to the arson and sabotage in this incident, property of more than 80 people from both the sides has been damaged. After assessing their damage, the process of giving compensation by the state government is under process.
