India vs Sri Lanka ODI: Rohit Sharma hit a stormy fifty as soon as he came, showed his T20 World Cup game

New Delhi. Rohit Sharma may have returned to the field a month ago, but his rhythm is the same as it was in the T20 World Cup. Rohit Sharma showed by scoring a fifty in just 33 balls against Sri Lanka that the bowlers are not going to get any respite. This is Rohit Sharma’s 56th fifty. Rohit Sharma was playing his first match after the T20 World Cup.

An ODI match was played between India and Sri Lanka in Colombo on Friday. Sri Lanka batted first in the match and scored 230 runs for 8 wickets. In response, India made a great start. Captain Rohit Sharma along with vice-captain Shubman Gill added 75 runs in 12.4 overs. Captain Rohit looked very aggressive during this time and scored a fifty in 33 balls.

When India’s score was 75 runs, Shubman Gill (16) lost his wicket. He was caught by wicketkeeper Kusal Mendis on Velalage’s ball. Rohit Sharma’s game was also affected by the dismissal of his partner and he too lost his wicket soon. Rohit was LBW by Velalage. The Indian captain scored 58 runs in 47 balls before getting out. He hit 7 fours and 3 sixes in his innings.

As soon as Rohit Sharma was out, India lost wickets in quick succession. Like Rohit, Virat Kohli, who was playing his first match after the T20 World Cup, was out after scoring 24 runs. He hit 2 fours in his 32-ball innings. Washington Sundar, who came to bat at number four, was out after scoring 5 runs. Shreyas Iyer also scored only 23 runs. In no time, India’s score went from 75 runs without losing a wicket to 132 runs for 5 wickets.
