Under the PLI scheme, Rs 12,195 crore has been given for telecom equipment manufacturing and networking products. Apart from this, an additional incentive of Rs 4,000 crore will be given for design manufacturing under this PLI scheme. The export of telecom equipment manufacturing is estimated to cross Rs 10,500 crore in the financial year 2025.
This report says that due to the government’s PLI scheme, 19,500 direct jobs have been created in the country and this is helping in boosting the country’s economy. Apart from this, this report also says that the average revenue per user (ARPU) of telecom companies in India is currently Rs 208, which can reach Rs 286 by the financial year 2027.
