In Assam, 30 ACS officers have opened a front against the MLA of Bharatiya Janata Party. 30 ACS officers from Cachar district have submitted a memorandum to Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, leveling scathing allegations against BJP MLA from Lakhipur constituency, Kaushik Rai. Kaushik Rai for misbehaving, insulting and threatening civil servants on duty.
All the 30 complaining officers are posted in Cachar district. The civil servants have sent their complaint to the Chief Secretary and the Chief Minister through the District Magistrate of Cachar. It has been said in the complaint that the BJP MLA from Lakhipur, Kaushik Rai, insults the government officials. The officers posted for flood relief work, who have complained, are Dr. Dipankar Nath (ACS Officer posted in Sonai Revenue Circle), Bikash Chhetri (ALRS posted in Sonai Revenue Circle), Circle Officer (A), Hussain Mohammad Mobin (ALRS), BDO, Sonai).
Misbehavior with Civil Servants: The Civil Servants in the memorandum have accused the BJP MLA of misbehaving, insulting and threatening them at Govindnagar Shivbari High School Relief Camp during a review of the flood situation in Sonai Revenue Circle.

The aggrieved officials alleged that the MLA, during his visit to the relief camps, remarked that the Sonai Block Development Officer (BDO) should be beaten up in the same way as he was thrashed by various party workers at the block office on March 10.
Accusations on BJP MLA: Officials alleged that Panchayat representatives suggested that circle officer should be punished for non-distribution of relief material and for using unparliamentary language against the government machinery. Officials alleged that the BJP MLA and his associates branded him an agent of the opposition. Simultaneously, the BJP MLA was accused of calling both the circle officers as ‘rice thieves’.
According to the complaint, MLA Kaushik Rai abused and threatened Circle Officer Dr. Dipankar Nath. Along with this, questioning his educational qualifications, he also made a personal attack on him. The MLA also abused the officer and raised his hand to kill him.
