In the national capital of the country, Rahul Gandhi said that he had offered an alliance to BSP chief Mayawati before the UP assembly elections. The former national president of Congress said that I had sent a message to Mayawati but she did not contest the UP assembly elections with Congress because of the fear of CBI and ED.
Addressing the people at the launch of the book ‘The Dalit Truth – Battle for Realizing Ambedkar’s Vision’ at Jawahar Bhawan in Delhi, Rahul Gandhi said, “Mayawati ji did not contest the elections this time. We gave a message to Mayawati to form an alliance. But he didn’t even talk.”
Rahul said, “Those who, Kanshi Ram ji, by giving their blood and sweat, awakened the voice of Dalits in Uttar Pradesh. It is a different matter that it caused loss to the Congress. Today Mayawati says that I will not fight for that voice.” Rahul Gandhi said that Mayawati gave open path to the opponents out of fear of CBI.
Rahul Gandhi said, “In a way, I am a beggar, because my country has given me all my love without any reason. I owe it to me. I wake up every morning and ask how to fulfill this love I got from the country?
Further, he said, “The country has not only given me love, but the country has also hit me with shoes. The country has killed me with great violence. I thought why is this happening? And got the answer that the country wants to teach me. The country is telling me that you learn, understand. If there is pain then nothing, learn and understand.
Addressing the people, Rahul Gandhi said, “I sleep at night, trying to understand my country. Like a lover wants to understand the one whom he loves. That’s how I try to understand my beloved country.” Rahul Gandhi said that those who think day and night for power are full in the country. But I was born in the middle of power and have a strange disease, I am not interested in it.
Keeping his point, Rahul Gandhi, referring to Savarkar, said ‘G’ in front of his name. After this, he stopped himself and said that I did not want to live. But I have rituals. It is worth noting that the editor of ‘The Dalit Truth – Battle for Realizing Ambedkar Vision’ is former bureaucrat K Raju.
