Farewell party has been organized at Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu’s house on Thursday for 72 members retiring from Rajya Sabha. In this farewell party, along with food, arrangements were made to play the song. The special thing is that the song in this party will be played by none other than the MPs. According to the information, a banquet will be organized for all in the morning at the residence of the Vice President, then a meeting will be held in the evening. After which a musical party has been kept at the time of dinner.
MPs of almost all parties will participate in this program. At the same time, some MPs are planning to show their talent outside the political arena. TMC MP Santanu Sen will tie the knot by playing guitar and Dol Sen, who is always in the news for his statements, will sing Rabindra Sangeet. DMK MP Tiruchi Siva will entertain everyone with Tamil music while BJP MPs Roopa Ganguly, Ramchandra Jhangra and NCP Vandana Chavan will also sing on the occasion.
72 members will retire this yearIn the 245-member Rajya Sabha, a total of 72 members are going to retire this year, while the term of 19 members is going to end in April. Of these members, 5 BJP and 6 Congress members are about to retire. The retiring members of the BJP include Subramanian Swamy, Suresh Gopi, Roopa Ganguly, Swapna Dasgupta and Shwet Malik.
Congress members include senior Congress leader Anand Sharma, former Defense Minister AK Antony, Pratap Singh Bajwa, Shamsher Singh Duli, Ripun Bora and Rani Nara’s term. After the retirement of these members, the number of BJP MPs in Rajya Sabha will come down from 97 to 92 and Congress MPs from 34 to 28.
The retiring members of other parties include KG Kane of Naga People’s Front of Nagaland, MV Shreyams Kumar of Loktantrik Janata Dal, Naresh Gujral of Akali Dal from Punjab, Soma Prasad of CPM and Jharna Das Vaidya.
