Chandigarh Municipal Corporation has imposed a fine of Rs 29,390 thousand on Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Wadding. Let us inform that on Friday, a notice was sent to Wadding on behalf of the Municipal Corporation. In which fine was imposed for putting up posters and banners in the city without permission. Amarinder Singh Raja Vading was given the responsibility of Punjab Congress on 9 April.
In fact, on 22 April, the swearing-in ceremony of the newly appointed state president of Punjab was held at Congress Bhawan, Sector-15. During this, the rules were ignored in their reception. Please tell that during the event posters and banners were put on the trees. On which, on the instructions of Commissioner Anandita Mitra, the corporation confiscated all the posters along with sending a notice to Vading.
Let us tell you that something similar was also seen in the swearing-in ceremony of former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi. However, no action was received from the Municipal Corporation during that time. The Aam Aadmi Party government is in Punjab during the Congress state president of Wadding.
Actually, it is illegal to place advertisements on trees and promote them in the city of Chandigarh. In such a situation, when it was ignored in the oath ceremony, the team of Additional Commissioner Rupesh Kumar got all the hoardings, posters and banners removed and confiscated.
Later, a notice was also issued to the Congress leader on behalf of the corporation. Let us tell you that this is the first such action when a fine has been imposed for putting up posters of a leader without permission.
Significantly, the Congress had informed in a press release on 9 April that Amarinder Singh Brar (Raja Wadding) has been made Punjab Congress chief, Bharat Bhushan Ashu as working president of Punjab Congress Committee. Apart from this, Punjab Congress Legislature Party leader Pratap Singh Bajwa and Rajkumar Chhabbewal have been appointed as Deputy Leader of Legislature Party.
