On Friday morning, there was heavy rain in Delhi-NCR with strong thunderstorms. While Delhiites got relief from the heat due to this rain, there are also reports of falling trees and water logging at many places. According to the Meteorological Department, it may rain for the next five days.
This is the second consecutive day that Delhi-NCR has received rain. Earlier it rained on Wednesday and Thursday nights. Earlier, while giving information about the weather, the Regional Weather Forecasting Center (RWFC) had said that there would be moderate intensity rains over entire Delhi and NCR.
At the same time, the Indian Meteorological Center (IMD) has predicted rain and thundershowers in Delhi for the next five days from June 16. The Meteorological Department has also issued an orange alert for Delhi. For the next three to four days, the wind speed at a speed of 30 to 40 km has been predicted in Delhi.
Assam- The entire Northeast including Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh has been receiving heavy rains for the last two days. Due to which flood situation has arisen in many places. The worst condition is in Assam. So far 46 people have died due to floods and landslides here.
According to the information received, two children died when a house collapsed due to landslide in Azad Nagar of Goalpara district in Assam. At the same time, two persons drowned in the flood waters in Dima Hasao and Udalguri.
Condition of rest of the states- Southwest monsoon is likely to advance into Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Orissa in the next two to three days. According to the Meteorological Department, Bihar and Jharkhand may receive heavy rains till June 19 and Odisha till June 17. On the other hand, along with Delhi, Haryana, UP, Chandigarh and Punjab may receive rain on Friday and Saturday. At the same time, in the coming few days, monsoon can knock in some parts of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.
