After the election results of five states, the stature of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Aam Aadmi Party’s national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has increased in the politics of the country. Arvind Kejriwal entered Delhi politics in 2013 with a new party. Within ten years, the party has built its mass base by knocking in the elections held across the country.
In every election the party contested, only Arvind Kejriwal remained the party’s big face and his development model of Delhi was preferred in the electoral states. It is from this model that the Aam Aadmi Party has also come to power in Punjab with a majority. Delhi is a union territory and because of this, there is full interference of the central government in the activities here, yet Arvind Kejriwal has succeeded in developing a free model of AAP by coming to power. Thanks to the performance, the Aam Aadmi Party will now have a full-fledged government in Punjab.
Arvind Kejriwal started his political journey in 2013 by contesting from the New Delhi Assembly elections and stopped his winning campaign by defeating Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, who had been in power in Delhi for 15 consecutive years. Arvind Kejriwal started his political journey from a bureaucrat to a social worker and then a politician. In 2013, AAP got only 28 seats. After this, in the elections held in 2015, the party made a new record by securing 67 seats.
Yogi created history
Yogi Adityanath will again be the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. Yogi Adityanath, who contested the assembly elections for the first time, will be the first Chief Minister of the state who will return to power after completing five years in office. Along with this, myths like Chief Minister going to Noida and Bijnor were also shattered. This victory has made Yogi a big face in the country along with the BJP. Perhaps this is the reason why a section sees Yogi as the future Prime Minister of India.
Born in 1972 in a village in Garhwal district of Uttarakhand, Ajay Mohan Bisht used to attend RSS shakhas since childhood. Ajay Bisht completed his B.Sc from Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna University located in Srinagar, Garhwal. It was in 1994 that Bisht first met Mahant Avaidyanath of Gorakshpeeth to seek help for admission in the university and within two years he not only took initiation but also succeeded him.
After taking initiation, he changed his name to Yogi Adityanath. This is where his political journey started. Yogi was elected MP from Gorakhpur at the age of 26. Before taking oath as the 21st Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi had been elected MP from Gorakhpur for five consecutive times, currently the Chairperson of Shri Gorakshapeeth.
