Taslimat Ma Taslimat.
Translation done overnight: Arif Mohammad Khan while narrating the anecdote behind the Urdu translation of Vande Mataram said, “When I sat down to translate it at night, I saw that it was becoming like a poem. It took some time to translate, picked up several Sanskrit dictionaries, after translating overnight, I sent it to someone in Lucknow in the morning.
The governor said, “I told the person not to tell anyone who sent it. Just show it to them and ask if there’s anything in it that puts faith in danger by reading it.” He further narrated the anecdote and said, “After an hour I got a call from that person that Arif Bhai I showed him, many people read it and everyone said that there is no such thing in it. Then he told that this is the pattern of Vande Mataram.
