Former Madhya Pradesh CM Uma Bharti has intensified her campaign regarding prohibition of liquor in the state. He has written a letter to BJP National President JP Nadda regarding the liquor policy. In the letter, the veteran BJP leader has demanded that the liquor policy should be kept uniform in the states where the party is ruled.
Let us inform that the letter of Uma Bharti has been written against the liquor policy of Madhya Pradesh. In this, he said, “The new liquor policy made in MP can lead the state towards destruction in all respects. This is not right from the point of view of development of the state.” He said that prohibition of liquor is not an issue of my ego, but it is an issue related to the dignity and safety of women. It is a social matter related to the livelihood and future of the youth.
Uma Bharti said in the letter, “Never made public about the meetings I had in the past regarding prohibition. But because of my silence, I made myself a joke, became an object of condemnation and criticism. So now I am making a public appeal to you regarding this matter.”
It is worth noting that in the letter, Uma Bharti has put forth her demand on the liquor policy in the liquor policy, fixing the distance of liquor shops from religious educational institutions and fixing the timing of opening and closing of liquor shops. .
Let us inform that Uma Bharti has been making an issue of prohibition even before this. Earlier, the former Chief Minister had said that people drink liquor in a herd. The administration is not controlling them. It is a law in the country that one should not drive after drinking alcohol, but then these people who come away from their homes and are drinking in their hands, who will drive their car and take them home.
Example given from Punjab: Uma Bharti gave the example of Punjab regarding liquor policy. He had said that while describing the liquor policy in Madhya Pradesh as necessary, while referring to Punjab, he had said that there was a lot of drinking in Punjab earlier, but after that there was less alcohol for intoxication. As a result, the youth there started using alcohol and other intoxicants.
