Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Voting will be held in four phases on 14 Lok Sabha seats of Jharkhand. In view of this, the process of accusations and counter-accusations of leaders against each other continues. The issue of Mandal Dam has come to the fore during the elections. The parties and the opposition are blaming each other regarding this. The leader of the INDIA alliance has accused PM Modi of falsely laying the foundation stone of Mandal Dam, while the BJP candidate from Palamu accused the state government of adopting an indifferent attitude.
In the year 2019, PM Narendra Modi had laid the foundation stone of Mandal Dam, but till date the construction work has not been completed. Now Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) party is making this an issue and going among the people in the Lok Sabha elections. While the party is questioning PM Modi on Mandal Dam during his visit to Jharkhand, the BJP has called it a conspiracy by the state government. JMM’s Central General Secretary, Co-Drinking Water Sanitation Minister Mithilesh Kumar Thakur said that Prime Minister Narendra came to Palamu land and did not even mention Mandal Dam.
“The public will ask where is Mandal Dam?”
He further said that what was the last reason that the work has not started till now in five years? The people here will ask where is Mandal Dam? BJP candidate from Palamu Lok Sabha seat Vishnu Dayal Ram has accused the state government of neglect. He said that the Central Government has provided the funds, but what is the reason why they are not giving compensation to the ryots? There, each displaced person has to be given Rs 10 lakh, so what are they doing? They only know how to hang the schemes of the Centre. If our government is formed, we will form it on priority. (IANS)
