Take tickets from authorized travel agents: The ministry says that employees should avoid canceling tickets unnecessarily. And they should reserve only one ticket for each leg of the journey. An official letter of these orders has been issued by the Department of Expenditure.
It states that at present, government employees can take air tickets only from three authorized travel agents. These include Ashok Travel & Tours, IRCTC and Bomer Lawrie & Co.
According to the air ticket booking guidelines, if an employee makes a booking within less than 72 hours of a journey and cancels a ticket within 24 hours, he will have to give a self-declared explanation.
It is worth noting that in its instructions, the Finance Ministry has asked the employees to cut the expenses. It has been clarified in the guideline, ‘Employees should keep in mind that all employees going for any one itinerary are booked through the same travel agent and no fee should be paid to these booking agents. needed.
Explain that such steps have been taken to reduce the burden on the government’s exchequer. It has been said in the instructions that no other expenditure should be added to the government accounts. It only covers the cost of travel.
