There is a stir in the country and abroad on the statement of BJP spokesperson Nupur. More than 12 Muslim countries, including Kuwait, Pakistan, Indonesia, UAE, Saudi Arabia, criticized the alleged remarks made on the Prophet. Organization of Islamic Cooperation, a group of Muslim countries, also condemned Nupur Sharma’s statement. On the other hand, in the latest developments, posters were pasted on a bridge in Surat, Gujarat demanding the arrest of Nupur.
Surat Police says that these posts have been put on Jilani Bridge. It is not yet known who is behind them. Police are checking CCTV cameras to find out who took some items near the bridge. At present, the police has come on alert mode.
On the other hand, Netherlands MP Girt Wilders is getting death threats for tweeting in support of Nupur. He retorted saying that nothing would be gained by this threat. I will not stop telling the truth. The sharpest statement in support of Nupur was given by Girt Wilders. Wilders is also the leader of the Party of Freedom of the Netherlands.
Wilders said that it is very funny that Arab and Islamic countries are furious over Indian leader Nupur Sharma telling the truth about the prophet. Why should India apologize?’ Wilders also advised to defend Nupur Sharma. He tweeted saying that appeasement never works. It makes things worse. Famous Pakistani-origin writer Tariq Fateh also gave a statement in favor of Nupur.
Keep in mind that during the Gyanvapi Masjid debate, Nupur had said that some people are constantly making fun of Hindu faith. They can also make fun of other religions. Nupur made controversial remarks on Mohammad Sahab during this time. After Nupur’s video went viral, BJP took action against her and suspended her. On being removed from the post, Nupur said that she respects the decision of the party and accepts it.
