Protests are still going on in many areas of the country against Nupur Sharma, suspended from BJP due to controversial statement on Prophet Mohammad. Maulana Tauqir Raza, National President of Ittehad-e-Millat Council, has demanded the arrest of Nupur Sharma. On Sunday (June 19), thousands of Muslims gathered at Islamia Maidan in Bareilly under the chairmanship of Tauqir Raza for this demand. On the other hand, a march was taken out in support of the former BJP spokesperson in Ajmer.
Addressing the program, Maulana Tauqir Raza said that at this time injustice is being done to Muslims in the country and he will tell this to the whole world. We are peace loving people. He said that he has brought a memorandum but will not give it to this dishonest government. Notice of our memorandum will not be taken. Therefore, he will go to Delhi and give a memorandum to the UNO and demand that he should pressurize the central government to arrest Nupur Sharma.
Dishonesty in the pride of the Prophet is not tolerated: He said that any misbehavior in the glory of the Prophet will not be tolerated at any cost. Such programs will be organized in every state till Nupur Sharma is not arrested. In his address, Maulana Tauqir Raza targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying, “It is clear from his silence and his stand that he is biased. Now there is no hope of justice from the central government because it is doing injustice to us.”
Maulana Tauqir Raza supported the opposition to the Agneepath scheme and said that the central government is spoiling the future of the youth. If the name of the plan of recruitment in the army was named Agneepath, then there was bound to be a fire. This scheme should be discontinued.
