With the formation of the Punjab cabinet, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday announced its five candidates for the Rajya Sabha seats in Punjab. In which former cricketer Harbhajan Singh, founder of Lovely Professional University Ashok Mittal, AAP MLA Raghav Chadha, IIT Delhi faculty Sandeep Pathak and industrialist Sanjeev Arora are involved.
Opposition parties have targeted AAP over the list of these candidates. Talking to the media in Muktsar, Parkash Singh Badal of Shiromani Akali Dal said, “The Rajya Sabha seats have been decided from New Delhi. Now all the decisions will be taken from Delhi. They will snatch water from us saying that Delhi needs it.
Targeting Badal, he said that this government will run from New Delhi. People were swayed by your promises. The ministers created in Punjab are for name only. Now Punjab will be governed by Delhi.
