During a TV debate on the controversy over Gyanvapi, BJP’s Sudhanshu Trivedi said that why did Aurangzeb go to offer Namaz in the biggest city of idols? On that Islamic scholar Junaid Haris said that today we are going towards which issues by forgetting the basic necessities of bread, cloth and house. Where is this search going to end? One by one, the matter goes ahead.
India TV anchor Meenakshi Joshi’s question was that if the survey has to be done, then this right belongs to the professor of a university or to the Department of Archeology. But one side says what it wants to achieve. Do they want to change the character or do they want to change the status of the religious place.
Sudhanshu Trivedi said that before going to the technical side of it, there is a theoretical side. Many times a point in history comes in the hands of a community when it can take a big decision. This opportunity came to the Muslim side in December 1949. Then Shri Ram Lalla was seated and appeared. After 12 years, he became a party to the title when only 12 days were left to file the suit. He also got a chance in 1980 but some people explained and he got deluded.
He had to say that what Aurangzeb had gone to do in the biggest city of idols. The fact will see that the walls are screaming and telling the truth. He said that the Muslim side will have to accept the reality and accept it or else the matter will get worse. He said that all the emperors after Alauddin Khilji read the Khutba of the Caliph of Baghdad. Why is the Muslim side not able to distance itself from it now?
Islamic scholar Junaid Haris used to say that if someone with a mosque would talk like this about the temple, then only then I would say that he is wrong. He said that we (our ancestor Sher Shah Suri) drove the Mughals. But we cannot forget our history. He said that Ashoka, Vikramaditya and then Aurangzeb gave the form of a united India.
Haris said that all places of worship should be respected. Even if someone from a mosque talked about a temple, he would have opposed it. We cannot destroy anyone’s worship place. People had gone to the court to get permission for worship. But there a new thing has come to the fore and will continue to come.
