After the return of the Yogi government to power in Uttar Pradesh, the action of bulldozers continues. In this sequence, on Saturday, bulldozer action was taken outside the house of gangster Mohammad Asim alias Pappu Smart, the main accused in the Bahujan Samaj Party leader Pintu Sengar murder case in Kanpur. Let us inform that the Kanpur Municipal Corporation has bulldozers on all the illegal shops built next to Pappu Smart’s house.
At the same time, before the action of the bulldozer, the drum was played there and the funeral was done. Apart from this, in view of the possibility of any ruckus during the action, heavy police force and PAC personnel were also deployed on the spot.
Significantly, on 20 June 2020, BSP leader Pintu Sengar was shot dead in Chakeri. In this case, the police had sent 15 accused to jail. In this, Pappu Smart was made the main accused who is currently in jail. According to the police, Pappu Smart had illegally occupied eight shops on the footpath up to 20 feet next to his house. Pappu had given these shops on rent.
Let us tell you that the action of the bulldozer was not sudden. In this regard, notices were sent several times by the Kanpur Municipal Corporation. But no proper reply was given to the notice. After which the illegal property was demolished with a bulldozer with drum beats on Saturday.
Notably, this operation lasted for about four hours. Not only this, Pappu Smart’s house was also sealed in the gangster case. Seeing the administration on the spot with drumming, a crowd of people gathered there. After which the police chased everyone away with sticks. At the same time, during the precautionary action, barricading was done on the route. Because of which people had to move around.
Regarding the action, DCP East Pramod Kumar informed that the illegal properties of the remaining associates of accused Pappu Smart are being investigated with the help of KDA, Municipal Corporation. Action will be taken against them as soon as the investigation is over.
