On June 10, 57 Rajya Sabha members are to be elected in 15 states. For this, elections will be held on 11 seats in Uttar Pradesh. After the results of the 2022 assembly elections, if we look at the numbers, the BJP can easily send seven members to the Rajya Sabha. On the other hand, the Samajwadi Party can easily choose three Rajya Sabha MPs. Although the BJP can choose one more MP apart from seven, but it will have to be done in maths.
Let us inform that the Uttar Pradesh unit of BJP has sent a list of 21 names to the central leadership, in which 8 names have to be stamped. In which the BJP will easily send seven members to the Rajya Sabha, but there can be a fight for the eighth. In such a situation, the role of AnyTV Dal Democratic chief Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya and Praspa chief Shivpal Yadav will be very important.
In fact, the relationship between SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and his uncle Shivpal Yadav is not considered good for some time. In such a situation, speculations are being made that Shivpal Yadav, who won the assembly elections on SP ticket, can cross-voting in the Rajya Sabha elections. On the other hand, if Raja Bhaiya’s party also votes in favor of BJP, then it will be easy for BJP to choose 8th Rajya Sabha MP.
The tenure of 11 Rajya Sabha MPs is coming to an end in UP. In this, BJP has 5, BSP has 2, SP has 3, and Congress has 1 MP. On the other hand, after the assembly elections, if we look at the strength of the parties, then the BJP alliance has 273 seats. SP alliance has 125, Congress 2, BSP one and AnyTV Dal Loktantrik have two MLAs.
