Keeping Eid in mind, after withdrawing from the announcement of May 3, MNS Chief Raj Thackeray’s attitude is getting tough again. According to the report of ANI, Raj Thackeray has appealed to all Hindus to start reciting Hanuman Chalisa on May 4 wherever he hears azaan from loudspeakers. Only then will they know what kind of trouble they are causing.
On May 1, at a rally in Aurangabad, Thackeray asked people to play Hanuman Chalisa outside mosques if loudspeakers were not removed from them. Although earlier the time of protest was kept from May 3, but this time Eid was celebrated on May 3 due to the delayed sighting of Shawwal’s moon. Raj Thackeray had told his leaders because of Eid that he did not want any kind of quarrel in the community, so no religious recitation should be done on 3 May.
On the other hand, Aurangabad Police has registered a case against Raj Thackeray on Tuesday. This case was registered regarding Thackeray’s rally. A case has also been registered against the organizers of the rally. In view of May 4, Mumbai Police has issued notice to 100 people of MNS under section 149. So far, precautionary action has been taken against more than 15 thousand people. However, amid the registration of a case against Raj Thackeray, MNS leaders said that they will take to the streets if further action is taken against their party chief.
RPI(A) activists will protect mosques
Union Minister Ramdas Athawale said that his workers will protect the mosques if anyone tries to remove loudspeakers forcibly. His party will ensure that the Muslim community does not face injustice. He said that we are not against Hanuman Chalisa recitation outside the mosque. Our protest is against the Raj Thackeray threat. If someone tries to forcibly remove loudspeakers from mosques then RPI(A) workers will protect the mosques.
Shelar took a pinch of Sanjay Raut
Maharashtra BJP MLA Ashish Shelar on Tuesday took a jibe at the Shiv Sena’s claim that its workers had played an active role in the demolition of the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya. He said that if this is so, then why the names of the office-bearers of the Uddhav Thackeray-led party did not appear in the Liberhan Commission constituted to investigate the Babri demolition.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray recently hit out at the BJP, asking where were its leaders hiding when the disputed structure was demolished by kar sevaks in 1992. Shelar said that if the Shiv Sena was involved in the demolition of the Babri Masjid, then why was the party’s name not mentioned in the Liberhan Commission report. He said that Sanjay Raut should tell what Uddhav Thackeray was doing when the Babri Masjid was being demolished. Why the plane carrying Shiv Sena leaders like Manohar Joshi and Liladhar Dhake was diverted and why did they arrive after the structure was demolished.
