In such a situation, now regular food will be checked in the train. For this, Railways will deploy Food Safety Supervisor.
Catering will be checked in the train
Indian Railways will now conduct regular catering checks. If any complaint is received during this period, it will also be rectified immediately. IRCTC called for daily checking of the quality of food in the base kitchen. For this, 50 food safety supervisors will be deployed. At the same time, the help of private labs will be taken for testing of food items.
The problem of passengers did not go away
There are frequent complaints from passengers about the food available in trains. Strict steps are being taken by the Railways to overcome this. This has improved the quality somewhat, but did not solve the problem of the passengers. For this reason, Railways has decided to deploy FSS. At present 50 people will be appointed. for which applications have been invited. Let us tell you that before the COVID epidemic, IRCTC had 46 base kitchens. Each kitchen will have the duty of a Food Safety Supervisor.
Private agency will do survey
The responsibility of checking the quality of food prepared in the kitchen will be on the FSS. At the same time, how satisfied are the passengers with the food available in railway stations and trains. Private agency will serve for this. The agency will be given the job for two years. The agency staff will prepare reports from catering stalls at railway stations and interact with passengers.
