Raisen, Navdunia Navdunia. Efforts have started to airlift Indian students and citizens stranded in Ukraine from Romania and Hungary to return home. This information has been given to Navdunia from Romania border in Sanskar Verma, resident of Bareilly town of Raisen district. Sanskar has also sent a photo of the crowd on the Romanian border on WhatsApp. Due to this news, the rest of the family members including his parents living in Bareilly have breathed a sigh of relief. They are eagerly waiting for his safe return.
The Russian attack has increased the concern of the Indian students trapped there and their families. However, the Ukrainian government has kept all the students safe in the bunkers. These include six students from the district. Sakshi, daughter of Udaipura resident Brajkishore Sharma, is a fourth year medical student in Kharkiv. Two daughters of Mukesh Parikh, resident of Bareilly, Shivi and Anshi are third year students of the Medical College in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. Sanskar Verma, son of Bareilly’s Vinod Verma, is studying in the first year at Tarnopil National Medical University. Amir, son of Tahir Khan, a resident of Devnagar, is a medical student at Kiev University. Madhavi Rakwar, daughter of Dr. Madhavlal, resident of Bari, is a first year medical student.
These students of the district are in touch with their respective families on mobile. Mobile towers have collapsed due to continuous bombardment. Power supply has come to a standstill at many places. Most of the people have been lodged in the bunker of the Metro train station.
Sanskar has informed the Navdunia correspondent about the situation there till 2 pm on Saturday. He told that a large number of Indian students and citizens have gathered at the Romanian border. People 40 km from the border have been released by the Ukrainian government with security arrangements. Most of the people have been lodged in bunkers. All Indian students and citizens can be airlifted to their home country by Saturday night. Currently some students are on the Romanian-Hungarian border and some are living in hostels and bunkers.
Sakshi Sharma from Kharkiv city told that she has not received any information about her return to India yet. Was staying in the bunker since morning. Where there is no arrangement for food and drink. In the afternoon, we left the bunker and walked one and a half km to reach the hostel for lunch. Bombing is happening.

Family pleads for protection
The families of the students living in Ukraine have appealed to the Government of Madhya Pradesh and India to make arrangements for the safety of the children and to bring them home. Chanting has been started at temples. Every member of the family is wishing their child a safe return from Ukraine.
Collector sent information to the Ministry of External Affairs
Collector Arvind Kumar Dubey said that he has sent the information of the students of the district living in Ukraine to the Ministry of External Affairs. Discussed with family on mobile. The Tehsildar has also been consoled by reaching the family members’ house. The Government of India is trying to bring all the students to their home country safely. There is constant contact with the Ministry of External Affairs on behalf of the administration and the government.
Health Minister assures security
Sanchi MLA and State Health Minister Dr. Prabhuram Choudhary has said that for the safety and well being of all the students and citizens of the state including the district living in Ukraine, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the State Government are in touch with the Ministry of External Affairs. .
