Due to the rise in edible oils, the demand of copra oil companies has started increasing at the copra gola producing centers, while due to the heat there is very less arrival of coconut these days. Because of this, the prices of copra bur have been raised. Copra Bura 100 in Indore reached Rs 2400-4250 per 15 kg. Going forward, the demand for copra shells is also expected to increase as the pressure increases. These days copra gola was sold at Rs 205 to 224 per kg in Indore. On the other hand, due to strong demand in the pre-Holi coconut and huge reduction in arrivals, the price increased. On Friday, a rise of about Rs 25 per bag was recorded in coconut.
The arrival was told of only three vehicles. Inward is weak in terms of demand. Sporadic inquiries from soft drink manufacturers have started pouring in in the market, keeping sugar prices firm. Sugar was quoted up to Rs 3500 per quintal in 3480 up and down. The arrival of sugar was of seven vehicles. Due to increase in local as well as external demand in nutmeg and mace, further increase in prices is expected. Nutmeg 745 to 750 Best 775-825, Mace was said up to Rs 2000 per kg.
