The rise of fennel after cumin, just before the new crop, is being described as a game of speculators. After Holi, good arrival of new crop in fennel and cumin will start. In fact, good stock of the last two years is deposited with the stockists. Stockists are seen lightening their old goods by creating a booming environment before the new crop. Whereas after Holi, there is every possibility of falling prices due to increase in arrival of new crop. In such a situation, traders should avoid panic buying of old goods. On the other hand, there has been a good demand for Holi in Indian raisins from North India. In such a situation, the sale of Indian raisins is increasing by increasing the price. Best Indian Raisin sold 260 to 280. After Holi, it is also expected to soften.
In Indore market, almonds of medium quality were sold for Rs 551 on Saturday. In fact, the arrival of almonds remains good but the demand seems to be weak. In such a situation, there is a softness in almonds. Almond Independent sold for Rs 500 and Medium 540 to 560 and Best Almond Rs 600 to 700. Here, due to the change in weather, the offtake in copra shells remained very weak, as well as the quality was not coming as it should, there was an atmosphere of slowdown in the prices. On Saturday, copra gola fell by Rs 2 to Rs 205- 225 per kg in Indore. Even in copra bure, there was a slowdown in the price due to the demand of the wedding season not being as it should be.
Copra Burra declined by Rs. 50 to Rs. 2,400 and up to Rs. 4250 per 15 kg. The demand for small coconuts has remained flat, while the level in large coconuts is very weak. In sugar also, the festive demand is gradually gaining momentum, but due to good stock of sugar in the market and continuous selling by the mills, there is no possibility of a long rally. Sugar is being spoken in the bottom 3450 up to Rs 3480 per quintal. The arrival was of seven vehicles.
