Indore News: Harshal Singh Rathore, Indore. To clean the water hyacinth from the ponds of Indore city, the Municipal Corporation is taking a machine on rent of one lakh rupees every month. Six engineers of the municipal workshop made a weed harvester by juggling the junk. The cost of the machine which was being taken on rent is Rs 2 crore. The engineers of the corporation made the machine at a cost of 15 lakhs. A hired harvester was being used to remove water hyacinth in the small Sirpur pond of the city.
To save the corporation’s money, the engineers of the workshop took the initiative and proposed to make a weed harvester from the unusable material lying here. Corporation officials approved it. In one and a half months, six engineers prepared the weed harvester. It was also tested for eight days in Sirpur pond, which was successful.
Such is the jugaad machine
It has been prepared by making a boat 8 feet wide by 14 feet long.
– Putting 10 drums in the boat, it was covered with a sheet of iron.
– 30 HP engine has been installed.
– Hydraulic pump installed.
– Install loaders on both sides, so that the hyacinth can be brought to the shore.
– The weight of the harvester is 17 hundred kg.
Changed according to the pond of Indore city
Engineer Manish Pandey, workshop in-charge of Indore Municipal Corporation, says that some changes have been made in this harvester according to the local pond. In place of conveyor belt, loader is installed. The structure of the pond here is not such that there is a need for a conveyor belt harvester. With the help of a loader, the hyacinth is pushed to the shore and removed. They say that even if it is prepared by buying new material, then the cost will come to about 16 to 17 lakh rupees.
