Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh were held in seven phases. Here the voting for the first phase was held on February 10 and the last phase of polling was held on March 7. The challenge before the BJP is to retain power in 403 assembly seats here. At the same time, the Samajwadi Party (SP) is also trying its best to return to the government.
Polling was held in one phase in Punjab (117 seats), Uttarakhand (70) and Goa (40) on February 14. Manipur (60) went to polls in two phases on February 28 and March 5. The counting of votes for all the states will take place on March 10 and the results will also be out on the same day. Out of these, BJP is in government in four states and Congress in Punjab.
