Not only this, initiative will also be taken to prevent the cause of accidents. Now the complete details of road accidents occurring in the district will be entered in the I RED- Antiaggregated Disease Accidents Data Base mobile app.

The app will have complete information about the incident, the cause of the accident. The investigating officer of the concerned police station area will be able to understand the main cause of the accident in a single click. An Antigrated Road Accidents Data Base Mobile App has been prepared under the Pilot Project. The cause of the accident will be ascertained through the app photograph-video and location. Accidents will be prevented by rectifying the faults.

The investigating officers investigating road accidents will reach the site of the incident and open the app and upload all the information. The app will have complete information about the incident, the cause of the accident. The investigating officer of the concerned police station area will be able to understand the main cause of the accident in a single click. Road accidents are increasing continuously.
Photos and videos must also be sent
Through the app, complete information about the place of incident will be available. Photos and videos of the accident will also have to be sent on the app. After this, the road and place of accident will be analyzed. If any defects are found on the road, suggestions will be given to rectify them.
Will be available in Hindi-English
Officials said that IIT Madras has developed the iRad mobile app. Where accidents are more frequent, here the application will be used as a pilot project. The app will be available in both Hindi and English language. The responsibility of implementing I-Raid will be on the Police-RTO. After an accident on any road, complete details will have to be fed in the mobile application. Many information will have to be given including the time, date, location of the accident, details of the vehicles involved in the accident and damage.
Accidents increased by 0.36 percent
The ever-increasing number of road accidents in the district has made the officers sleepless. Despite the awareness campaign and action taken, the figures have not decreased. The number of two wheelers has increased during the Corona period. More than seven thousand vehicles have been registered in the Transport Department. If we look at the road accidents in the year 2020, there have been 819 road accidents in which 332 have died. At the same time, 817 people have disappeared seriously. Among those who lost their lives in the accident, 46.92 percent are of bike riders. There has been an increase of 0.36 percent in road accidents in 2021 as compared to 2020. The traffic branch believes that the use of private vehicles has increased in comparison to public transport during the Corona period. Due to which accidents have increased.
