The company has cautioned the users that mercenary spyware attackers use certain types of resources to target specific people and their devices. These spyware attacks cost millions of dollars. Detecting and stopping such attacks is also a very difficult task. It has been told by the company that if your iPhone or iPad is targeted then the hacker will get unauthorized access to your device. After that, any of your personal or professional details present in your device can be tampered by the hacker.
Apple has advised its users to update their devices with the latest security patches and be careful when opening suspicious links. Apple had earlier sent an alert to political figures including Congress leader Shashi Tharoor, Aam Aadmi Party’s Raghav Chadha and Trinamool Congress’ Mahua Moitra in October 2023, warning them of a spyware attack targeting their iPhones.
