IPL Schedule 2022: IPL 2022 is soon ready to entertain the cricket fans. IPL is going to start from March 26. The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League will last for more than two months. The final match will be played on May 29. The BCCI announced some important decisions regarding the official schedule of IPL 2022 and the tournament. IPL 2022 will be played between 10 teams. This time two new teams Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans are involved in the tournament.
10 teams will compete
All 10 teams have prepared their team for IPL 2022. The auction was held in Bengaluru last month. Where all the franchises bid on their favorite players. A total of 204 players were selected during the auction. Of these, 67 were foreign players and 137 were Indian players.

Ishan Kishan was the most expensive player in the IPL 2022 auction. Mumbai Indian bought the wicketkeeper-batsman for 15.25 crores. Deepak Chahar 14 crores Chennai Super Kings and Shreyar Iyer 12.25 crores Kolkata Knight Riders included in his team.
Tata Group is the new sponsor of IPL
The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League will be called Tata IPL 2022. The Tata Group is the new sponsor of the tournament. There will be 74 matches in the IPL including playoffs and finals. A total of 70 matches will be played between 10 teams. BCCI has created two virtual groups. The teams in Group A are Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants. Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans are part of Group B.

Where will IPL 2022 matches be held?
IPL will start on 26 March. Will end with the final on 29th May. All the matches of the league stage will be played in Mumbai and Pune. Wankhede Stadium, Brabourne Stadium and DY Patil Stadium are the three venues in Mumbai where league matches will be played. MCA International Stadium in Pune is the fourth place. The venue of the playoffs and the final will be decided by the BCCI later.
