Gujarat Titans team has started preparing for IPL 2022. Team captain Hardik Pandya, pacer Darshan Nalkande, Varun Aaron and Abhinav Manohar have started training with head coach Ashish Nehra. BCCI President Sourav Ganguly had advised Pandya to play Ranji Trophy, but he thought it better to prepare for IPL instead of playing Ranji. After this, questions are being raised whether the future of cricket is also going to be like football, where the club is given more importance than the national team.
The training camp of the new IPL team Ahmedabad has started from 25 February. It will end on March 2. After this, a practice camp of the entire team will be held in Ahmedabad.

Ever since the advent of IPL, it is being said that the future of cricket can also be like that of football, where the club will be more important than the national team. In football, clubs can refuse their players to play for the country. In cricket too, franchises are troubled by frequent mega auctions and it is believed that mega auctions may be closed in the coming times. The way Hardik has decided to play IPL instead of Ranji. After that the rest of the players can also focus only on IPL, because by playing IPL, players can earn crores in just two months.
Ahmedabad’s team is very strong in the first season
In its first IPL season, the Ahmedabad franchise has built a very strong team. Hardik Pandya has been made the captain of the team. Apart from them, players like Rashid Khan, Shubman Gill, Mohammed Shami, Jason Roy and Loki Ferguson have also been included in the team. On paper, the Ahmedabad team is quite balanced.
IPL 2022 will be played from March 26 to May 29. During this 10 teams will play 70 league matches among themselves. After this, both qualifier and eliminator matches will be played on the basis of the points table. Finally the final match will be held on 29th May. All league matches will be played in four grounds in Mumbai and Pune.

20 matches will be played at Wankhede Ground, while 15 matches will be played at Brabon Ground. 20 matches will be played at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai and 15 at MCA Stadium in Pune. However, Mumbai’s team will not get the benefit of the home ground and no match of this team will be held at the Wankhede Ground. The Gujarat team will play two matches against Lucknow, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Punjab, while Mumbai, Kolkata, Rajasthan and Delhi will play one match.
