Kolkata. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team lost in IPL 2024 on Tuesday despite coming very close to victory. He had to face defeat by 2 wickets on the last ball in a very exciting match against Rajasthan Royals. KKR captain Shreyas Iyer, after not being able to defend the score of 223 runs against Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League, said that his team will have to learn from the mistakes and make a strong comeback.
While chasing the target of 224 runs of Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals team was in trouble after scoring 121 runs for six wickets in the 13th over. But the team’s opener Jos Buttler (107 runs, 60 balls) did not give up. He scored an unbeaten century to take his team to the target.

Shreyas Iyer said after the match, ‘It is difficult to explain what happened. We have to face it and move forward. Glad it happened here. Not at the end of the tournament. The important thing is that we learn from our mistakes and come back stronger. Kolkata Knight Riders entrusted the responsibility of defending nine runs in the last over to spinner Varun Chakraborty but he failed to do so. Iyer defended the decision to make him bowl the last over. He said, ‘Buttler was hitting shots easily so I thought let’s reduce the speed of the ball and give it to Varun Chakraborty. But he played big shots successfully.
