Islamabad: As soon as Iran reached Pakistan, both its tone and rhythm changed. Apart from forgetting its long-standing enmity with Pakistan to compete with Israel, Iran has also in a way rejected India’s friendship. That is why the President of Iran, who reached Pakistan, has issued a joint statement on the Kashmir issue. Let us tell you that Pakistan and Iran have given a joint statement saying that both the countries have agreed that the Kashmir issue should be resolved through peaceful means based on the wishes of the people of the region.
It is noteworthy that Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi was on his first three-day visit to Pakistan after the outbreak of war with Israel. This was stated by both the countries by issuing a joint statement on the Kashmir issue on Wednesday. This is the same Iran and Pakistan, which had recently launched a major retaliatory air attack on each other. But after the outbreak of war between Iran and Israel, perhaps it has started on the path of friendship with Pakistan for nuclear weapons and other war weapons. In order to benefit itself, Iran has issued its joint statement with Pakistan on Kashmir, which is called the soul of India.
Many agreements signed between Pakistan and Iran
President Raisi paid an official visit to Pakistan from 22-24 April at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. A high level delegation also came with him. A joint statement was issued at the conclusion of the President’s visit to Pakistan. It said that taking into account the developments at the regional and global levels, both sides emphasized peaceful resolution of disputes through dialogue and diplomacy to find mutually acceptable solutions to common challenges. “Both sides highlighted the need to resolve the Kashmir issue through dialogue and peaceful means, based on the wishes of the people of the region and in accordance with international law,” the statement said.
India has already rejected any country’s statement on Kashmir.
India has earlier also rejected such statements by other countries on the Kashmir issue. The External Affairs Ministry spokesperson has repeatedly said, “The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and the Union Territory of Ladakh are and will always remain an integral part of India. No other country has the right to comment in this regard.” Sharif raised the Kashmir issue during a joint press conference on Monday and thanked Iran for its stance. However, President Raisi avoided mentioning Kashmir. And instead talked about Iran’s support to those fighting against oppression in Palestine.
