Actually, the reason behind this is some important agreements which can bring big benefits to Pakistan.
These agreements will be discussed
Pakistan and Russia are expected to sign major deals during the visit, including an agreement on Russian investment for the construction of a USD 2 billion gas pipeline. Pakistani media had also given this information last week. The Pakistani leadership also wants to sign a commercial agreement with Russia during Khan’s visit. A Russian delegation recently visited Pakistan to discuss toll-free proceedings and tax exemptions regarding the Pakistan Gas Stream project.
Pak came closer to Russia and China due to bad relations with America
Pakistan’s relations with Russia have gone beyond bitter Cold War hostilities in recent years. Pakistan is increasing friendship with Russia and China due to bad relations with America. In April last year, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov visited Islamabad after a gap of almost nine years.
