Bilaspur. Jal Jivan Mission: Through District Water and Sanitation Mission, villagers are being motivated to conserve water. It is also being advised to save every drop of water and use it as per the need. In the first phase, four days residential training is being given by Jal Jeevan Mission. 70 representatives of 20 gram panchayats of Masturi block are participating in this training organized under the banner of National Jal Jeevan Mission, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India. Village Sarpanch, Up Sarpanch, Ward’s Panch, Village Water Sanitation Committee members and Panchayat Secretary are participating in the training organized. The representatives involved in this training are being informed about various aspects related to water life and are also being encouraged for capacity building. This training is being conducted by Chief Executive Officer Mr. Ajay Mohapatra.
In the training, a discussion was also held regarding ensuring the participation of all the people in the village action plan BAP related to the Jal Jeevan Mission. In this training, many points like passing the VAP by the Gram Sabha and implementing that plan were also discussed and discussed. In the program, a detailed discussion was held on the topic of water management and water conservation. It was told in the training that the contribution of the villagers and every family of the village is important to make the Jaljeevan Mission a success.
All the people were also encouraged in this direction. The seriousness of the training can be gauged from the fact that the Superintending Engineer Bilaspur RK. Gendle, Executive Engineer of Public Health Engineering Department MK. Mishra, Assistant Engineer A.P. Vaidya, Deputy Engineer Pramod Mahto IAS. Other officers including the nodal officer were present.
Focus on Bilha and Masturi Block
Masturi and Bilha blocks are recorded as dry blocks on the district map. The villagers living in most of the areas have to yearn for water drop by drop during the summer. The importance of water is being told to the villagers here. Apart from this, they are also motivating for water conservation.
