new Delhi. Shabe-e-Barat, the festival of praying awake at night, will be celebrated on Friday. Regarding this, from the police administration to the religious gurus, have appealed to the people to celebrate this festival peacefully. The Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid also appealed to the people not to fuss, stay in homes and mosques and offer prayers. Shahi Imam Syed Ahmed Bukhari appealed that, there is also Shab-e-Barat on March 18, this night is the night of worship, the night of seeking forgiveness from sins. Usually Muslim youths create riots, make noise in the markets. Many a times some youths got injured while performing feats and even lost their lives.
I appeal to the parents and the responsible people of the areas to stop their children from doing all this and pray only by going to their homes or mosques in the area.
In fact, on the night of Shab-e-Barat, people of the Muslim community go to the cemetery and pray for the Magfirat of the dead. By cleaning the cemetery, people pray for their ancestors, parents and other people, bring happiness to their souls and seek forgiveness for their sins.
