On Wednesday, on the way to Kishtwar from Anantnag, six people who went missing due to bad weather have been traced by the administration team. The administration told that all are safe and well. In search of them, a three-pronged rescue operation was launched by the administration. Officials said that a team with snow cutter machine and JCB reached the youths by road under the leadership of SDM and Tehsildar.
An army rescue team and another team of local volunteers were also deployed. The third team was stationed at Larkipora with a helicopter. Waiting for the weather to improve there. All these people had gone missing in the icy region Margan Top while coming back from Kashmir to their home in Kishtwar, Vadwan.

There is a possibility of getting caught in the ongoing snow storm in their area. Local sarpanch Azad Nabi said that he had last spoken to the family members from Mergan Top around 9 pm on Tuesday. On the other hand, the Anantnag administration says that there is heavy snowfall in the Kokernag area, so no rescue operation has been started on the Morgan top.
