New Delhi. In the valley, Kashmiri Pandits are once again harassing their fears for their lives. Due to this, there has been a terrorist attack today in Chotipura, Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir. Where terrorists suddenly opened fire on 2 Kashmiri brothers working in their apple orchard in their native village. In which one brother died. While the other brother is fighting for the death in the hospital. This attack took place when both the brothers were working in the apple orchard. Sunil Bhatt has died in this terrorist attack, while the condition of his brother Pintu Kumar admitted to the hospital is said to be critical. At the same time, this terrorist attack has rekindled the old wounds of Kashmiri Pandits. That terror has been revived. There is mourning in the homes of the two brothers who were attacked, as well as the family is angry.
The surprising thing is that despite all the announcements and assurances at the government level, the attacks on Kashmiri Pandits are not stopping. On the other hand, political parties are also attacking the government for the attack on Kashmiri Pandits. Targeting the Modi government, Congress leader Pawan Khera said that why the government’s policy on Kashmir is proving to be a failure. On the other hand, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that the government run by the Center proved to be a failure there (Jammu and Kashmir). The Prime Minister’s administration runs in the Valley, it has proved to be a failure. Today we have made our Kashmiri Pandits insecure.
Let us tell you that there is a long past of bloodshed in the valley. But in the year 2022, there have been 114 terrorist incidents in Kashmir. In which 31 security forces have been martyred, while 24 civilians have lost their lives in this terrorist attack. There has been an increase in the incidents of target killings this year. These heinous incidents gave an opportunity to the local Kashmiri leaders to question the government and its administration.
On the other hand, looking at the incidents of four months on the previous day, on May 7, policeman Hasan Dar was shot. On May 12, in Budgam, Rahul Bhatt was shot dead after entering a government office. On May 17, Rajit Singh was killed in a grenade attack in Baramulla. Apart from this, on May 24, Mohammad Syed Qadri, the father of a policeman, was shot dead in Srinagar. TV actor Amrin Bhatt was murdered on 25 May in Budgam. Teacher Rajni Bala was shot dead on 31 May in Kulgam. On June 2, a bank manager was shot dead in Kulgam.
Sunil Bhatt and Pintu Bhatt, two Kashmiri Pandit brothers of Shopian, were targeted by this pattern of terrorists. So now the questions are arising that who will give security guarantee to Kashmiri Pandits? Apart from this, the question is also that when will this target killing stop and the bigger question is that how long will the Kashmir Pandits continue to pay the price of living in their motherland and their native land with their lives?
