Summary
JEE Main 2022 Announced: National Testing Agency i.e. NTA has made it clear that this year JEE Main 2022 exam for admission to engineering courses will be conducted in two phases.
National Testing Agency (NTA) made a big announcement on Tuesday, March 01, 2022, making it clear that this year JEE Main 2022 exam for admission to engineering courses will be conducted in two phases. This initiative will give two chances to the candidates to improve their score in the examination, if they are not able to give their best in one attempt then prepare better in the second attempt.
If you miss the paper, you will not get a second chance.
Along with this, NTA has also given a big blow to the candidates. NTA has said that if one has missed the exam due to reasons beyond control (like board exam), he/she will not have to wait for a full year. That is, if a candidate misses the exam, then he will not be given a second chance.
It is not necessary to appear in both the stage exams
The National Testing Agency has also clarified that it is not necessary that candidates appear in both the phases of the examination. They can also appear in any one stage examination. If they participate in both the stages then it will help them to improve their score. Candidates can also appear in any one stage of JEE Main 2022 exam, as per their board exam schedule.
There will be two papers in JEE Main exam
The Joint Entrance Examination, JEE Main will consist of two papers. Paper-I of JEE Main will be conducted for admission to undergraduate engineering programs BE/B.Tech in NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs), and Central Universities and State Governments funded/recognized. Whereas Paper-2 is conducted for admission to B.Arch and B. Planning courses in Architectural Engineering Institutes across the country.
