Premium vehicle maker Jeep has launched its new car Jeep Meridian in India, which the company has built on the platform on which the company has built the Jeep Compass.
Talking about the exterior of the Jeep Meridian, the company has made the design similar to its existing Grand Cherokee L to give it a premium look. But its design looks very different from the Jeep Compass.
Talking about the engine and power of this Jeep Meridian, the company has installed a 2.0 liter Multijet turbo diesel engine with R cylinder in it. This engine generates maximum power of 170 hp and peak torque of 350 Nm. With this engine, the company has given the option of 6 speed manual and 9 speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
Apart from this, the company has given the option of 4 wheel drive, making its engine special. Also, the company will launch the petrol version very soon after the diesel variant of this car.
Talking about the interior and features of this car, the company has given a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, along with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.

Along with wireless charging, front power seats, dual zone automatic climate control, power tailgate, rear and front parking sensors, reclinable second and third row seats, wireless phone charging, 9-speaker Alpine music system has been given.

Talking about the safety features of the car, the company has given features like six airbags, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring system, anti-lock braking system and 360 degree view camera in it.
This premium car is sure to compete with premium cars like the popular Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Mahindra Alturas G5, Skoda Kodiaq in its segment.
The company has fixed the price of this car on the basis of different variants. In which the starting price of its base model has been kept at Rs 29.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Going to the top variant, the price of this car becomes Rs 36.95 lakh (ex-showroom).
