A statement issued by the Defense Ministry said that this military exercise will enhance the operational capability of both the Air Force. Through the exercise, both will also test their ability to carry out an operation together. This will also enhance the professional competence, consultations, experience of operations between the two armies and at the same time strengthen the bilateral relations.
Sharing the pictures of the exercise on Twitter, the IAF wrote that through this the military operational efficiency of both the countries will increase. The event will provide a platform to both the Air Forces to conduct best practices and conduct operations together.
The India-Oman joint military exercise has started a few days after the visit of Oman’s top defense officer Mohamed Nasser Al Jabbi to India. Jabbi was on an official visit to India from January 30 to February 4. He presided over the meeting of the Joint Military Cooperation Committee. Apart from this, he also attended high level meetings with military officials of both the countries. Earlier, the fifth phase of this joint military exercise was held at Masirah Airbase in Oman in October 2019.
