new Delhi . Assembly elections are to be held in Rajasthan in 2023 i.e. next year, but according to its political style, the BJP high command has started tidying up the organization in view of the preparations for the elections.
Under these efforts, BJP National President JP Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah are going on a tour of Rajasthan in the month of April. During this visit, both the leaders will not only give victory mantra to the leaders and workers of the organization regarding the preparations for the assembly elections, but will also instruct them to go to the elections unitedly.
It is being told that JP Nadda will reach Rajasthan on Saturday and meet the leaders of the state BJP core group and review the party’s preparations for the elections. Nadda can also visit Sawai Madhopur during his state tour.
At the same time, it is being said that Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Rajasthan in the middle of this month. According to sources, the dates of Amit Shah’s visit to Rajasthan are yet to be finalized but Shah is likely to visit Banswara in Rajasthan in mid-April. It is being told that this visit of Shah to Rajasthan will be for two days and during this visit, along with official work, Shah will also hold a meeting with party leaders.
Let us tell you that, during the last 10 days, former Chief Minister of Rajasthan and veteran state BJP leader Vasundhara Raje Scindia met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP National President JP Nadda in New Delhi and Home Minister Amit Shah in Uttarakhand Political situation of Rajasthan. There was a discussion about the functioning of the state organization and the preparations for the assembly elections.
During the Delhi tour, Vasundhara Raje Scindia also met several senior leaders including former national president of the party and current Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Rajasthan in-charge Arun Singh.
In fact, only after losing to the Congress in the 2018 assembly elections, the BJP seems to be divided into two factions in the state. The BJP has become cautious about the state since its defeat in the assembly by-elections held in the state last year. In view of this, on the one hand, where the top BJP leaders met Vasundhara Raje Scindia and started a round of discussion regarding the election and organization, on the other hand they are also going on a tour of Rajasthan to take the feedback of Ground Zero.
The biggest challenge before the party right now is to unite and maintain the organisation. The party is also yet to decide whether to announce its face in front of Ashok Gehlot in the assembly elections going to be held next year or to contest the elections under collective leadership.
