Karnataka Congress leader Kabir Khan, who recently released a video against Waqf Bill 2025 passed against Waqf Bill 2025, has been arrested from Ajmer in Rajasthan. The police arrested him from Adarsh Nagar area, where he was allegedly hidden while fleeing. Kabir Khan, former councilor of Davangere Municipal Corporation of Karnataka, in his viral video not only raised poison against the government, but also encouraged the youth to do radical and violent acts such as “breaking laws” and “sacrificing their lives”.

This video spread like wildfire on social media and created a stir in the whole country.
Arrest due to information system being active
According to Ajmer SP Vandita Rana, the Karnataka police had received information that the accused was hidden in Ajmer. A campaign was carried out with the help of local police and Kabir Khan was arrested. After the arrest, he was immediately handed over to the Karnataka Police, where he will now be questioned in detail.

After this incident, there has been a stir in political circles. Opposition parties have raised sharp questions on the Congress and have demanded to expel Kabir Khan from the party. The Congress has issued a statement on its behalf saying that the party does not support violence and extremism and the law will do its job.
