Summary

Hearing is on in the High Court on various petitions against the ban on Hijab in educational institutions of Karnataka. During the hearing on Wednesday, senior advocate S Nagananand, appearing for the students of Pre University (PU) College in Udupi, who were opposing the hijab, showed the court a photo of a petitioner student’s Aadhar card in which she is not wearing a hijab. It is not as if it is being claimed that they should always wear hijab in public.
