The meeting of Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia) chief Shivpal Yadav and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has increased political excitement. There was speculation that Yadav might join the Bharatiya Janata Party. However, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has rubbished these things ‘for the time being’. It is reported that Yadav is angry with his nephew Akhilesh Yadav for not being invited to the meeting of MLAs.
In a conversation with News18, Maurya said on speculation that Yadav would join the BJP, “We don’t have any such vacancy right now.” Recently, Yadav did not attend the meeting of allies convened by nephew Khilesh. Shivpal is the younger brother of Mulayam Singh Yadav, the founder of the Samajwadi Party and Akhilesh’s father.
Why Shivpal is ready to join BJP to give a jolt to Akhilesh Yadav, know the inside story
“Yogi Adityanath is our chief minister and anyone can meet him. Whether it is Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi… and Akhilesh Yadav has also met him.
Then the paths will be different!
NDTV report quoted sources as saying that Shivpal Yadav is going to forge an alliance with his nephew just a few days after he lost the UP elections. He reportedly met his party leaders and asked them to “be prepared for a bigger battle”. According to the report, Yadav had reportedly met Akhilesh on March 24 and expressed his desire for a higher post in the Samajwadi Party. According to the report, sources said that Akhilesh had reminded the uncle that he was an ally and not a member of the SP.
In December, Akhilesh had announced that the SP and his uncle’s party were going to contest the UP assembly elections together. The special thing is that both the leaders came together after about 5 years. During that time Yadav had parted ways from Akhilesh due to political tussle. Yadav was considered the second most powerful minister in the Akhilesh government of 2012-17.
